Kbd.Shahidul Islam (Shaheed), a well-known personality in Bangladesh’s poultry sector, has been promoted to the position of General Manager (Operations) at Aftab Bahumukhi Farms Ltd., one of the country’s leading and reputed poultry and agriculture-based companies, effective from May 1, 2026. Prior to this promotion, he was serving as Deputy General Manager (Poultry Operations) of the company.
Mr. Shahidul Islam (Shaheed) obtained his Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Animal Husbandry from Bangladesh Agricultural University in 2006. Soon after completing his graduation, he began his professional career as a Technical Officer at SKS Foundation, a renowned NGO in his home district.
Before joining Aftab Bahumukhi Farms Ltd., he successfully worked in responsible positions at RDS Bangladesh, BRAC, Phenix Group, and Diamond Group.
He joined Aftab Bahumukhi Farms Ltd. on May 3, 2018, as a Manager. Through dedication, honesty, leadership, and consistent professional performance, he was subsequently promoted to Senior Manager, Assistant General Manager, and later Deputy General Manager (Poultry Operations). In recognition of his continuous success, professional excellence, and contribution to the organization, he has now been promoted to the position of General Manager (Operations) this year.
To strengthen his expertise in corporate leadership and business management, Mr. Shahidul Islam (Shaheed) also completed an MBA degree from Begum Rokeya University in 2023 while serving as Assistant General Manager (AGM). His pursuit of higher education alongside professional responsibilities reflects his strong commitment to continuous learning, strategic management, and corporate excellence.
